Reverse Osmosis System

PRORO 16

Product code — PRORO16

Reverse osmosis offers the ultimate water purification and treatment for both coffee and steam applications. RO will effectively remove up to 99% of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) from the water. It is the only water treatment process that removes chlorides which, left untreated, will corrode and damage equipment leading to expensive replacement costs, service calls and inevitably, kitchen downtime. Removing all minerals, particulates and chlorine from the water provides a consistent baseline of ‘clean’ water to work with. All PRORO models (excluding ware-washing) incorporate a remineralisation post-filter for taste optimisation for high-quality coffee, time after time. Combining the right equipment, beans and water recipe delivers truly exceptional results.

  • 1 x GAC filter.
  • 1 x Carbon block filter.
  • 1 x 125 gpd RO membrane.
  • 1 x Remin post-filter.
  • Integrated 4.4 litre tank.
  • Removes bacteria, herbicides, pesticides, organic matter, inorganic matter, metal ions, radioactive substances, microplactics in water.
  • Intelligent water control –
Digital control, showing key information such as TDS/remaining cartridge life of the raw and purified water.
  • High Efficiency – for every 1 litre of purified water produced, only 1 litre of impure water goes to drain* *pressure dependent.

Composite MW-CTO-PP pre-filter:

  • The high capacity pure polypropylene (PP) fibre sediment pre-filter, screens out particles down to 5 microns, including sand, silt and rust, to improve the quality of the water before it enters the membrane to prevent it from fouling.
  • The CTO part is composed of high-performance activated carbon that absorbs 99% of chemical impurities helping to prevent the membrane from chlorine/chloride attack.

Composite MW-CTO-PP post-filter:

  • The CTO high high-performance activated carbon and high capacity pure polypropylene fibre sediment post-filter, gives a final polish of the water which is essential in ware-washing applications.

3 stage Remineralisation post-filter:

  • Stage 1 – gives the water a final polish prior to drinking.
  • Stage 2 – releases nourishing minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium which are flavour carriers.
  • Stage 3 – adjusts the pH balance of the water to protect the coffee machine against corrosion.

Membranes:

  • Your PRORO membrane is the heart of the reverse osmosis system, it uses a 0.001 micron thin film composite (TFC) membrane. This semi-permeable membrane will effectively remove up to 99% of TDS (total dissolved salts) including heavy metals such as arsenic, copper, nitrates and lead, as well as bacteria & Cysts, as per E .Coli, Giardia and cryptosporidium.
