I have found the Monarch Midi HE softener to be well designed, easy to install, very simple to set up and maintain. In my experience it ranks as one of the top softeners available. I installed one in our previous house to replace another make that failed and it functioned flawlessly all that time.

Was advised by the plumber we often use to purchase a monarch water softener as he has fitted loads. Does what is says. Nice digital display with visible clock. When it does backwash very quiet. Comes with by pass valve which cuts down on labour time. When we move again would definitely go for a Monarch.
