Monarch Water’s CS softener range achieves WRAS approval
Monarch Water is pleased to announce that its popular CS water softener range is now approved by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).
WRAS is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials, helping businesses and consumers choose compliant products that keep water safe. It is responsible for preventing the contamination of public water supplies and encouraging the efficient use of water by promoting and facilitating compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws. These regulations require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be of an appropriate quality and standard.
The CS range, which highlights Monarch Water’s commitment to sustainable innovations in water softening, has been rigorously tested by WRAS for durability and quality. Following testing, the range has proven to be of a suitable quality and standard against water fitting regulations, which means that it will be supported by UK water authorities.
Plumbing products are considered suitable if they pass appropriate material and mechanical regulatory performance tests. These tests include checks that products won’t affect the taste or smell of drinking water and do not promote the growth of microorganisms.
“WRAS approval is accepted as a quality benchmark by water suppliers and we are proud that the CS range complies with its high standards,” says Kevin Johnson MD of Monarch Water and UKWTA Technical Director. “Monarch Water has always been at the forefront of innovation in this sector and we are pleased the CS range has achieved this recognised level of compliance.”
